Lisa Rogelstad

Owner and CEO

As owner and CEO, Lisa Rogelstad oversees the operations and finances of Star Staffing. Lisa was born and raised in the North Bay and has a passion for serving the local communities. Lisa joined Star Staffing in 2001 and purchased the company the following year. With a background in Human Resource, Finance and Strategic Leadership she excels in leading a staffing agency and developing the vision and mission in which Star Staffing thrives through. Her commitment to processes, procedures and fiduciary responsibility allows Star to remain on the cutting edge of technology, worker's comp cost reduction, and risk control services while at the same time ensuring that our practices are standardized yet flexible to meet the wide range of needs that our variety of clients require. Risk Management and Safety are also on Lisa's list of top priorities. She sits on the board of directors for Star Staffing's risk management and worker's compensation programs. Lisa has a BS in Business Administration/Finance from Sonoma State University and a MBA in Strategic Leadership from Dominican University. She was recently the recipient of the Forty under 40 award recognizing top leaders under the age of 40 in the community.

Nicole Smartt

Owner and Vice President

As Vice President and co-owner, Nicole Smartt oversees the day to day operations of the firm throughout the Bay Area. She is driven to provide long-term solutions for clients in regards to cost-savings and productivity improvement. Nicole has more than 8 years experience in the staffing industry, having served in virtually every aspect of the industry—she started her career "working a desk" and learning what it takes to make the ideal match between employee and employer. In October 2010, Nicole became a co-owner of Star Staffing. Nicole's drive, expertise, and professionalism are recognized by industry leaders and business partners.

In her local community, Nicole is active in several chambers of commerce and community organizations. Nicole is the co-founder for the Petaluma Young Professionals Network. Nicole also sits on the California Staffing Professionals Board as well as the Professional Association of Sonoma County Human Resource (PASCO HR) Board. Nicole is a board member for the Active 20-30 Healdsburg club; a service organization made up of young men and women, dedicated to helping children in the Healdsburg area. In addition, she was recently appointed to the Young Professionals Entrepreneur Council which is a closed community of the world's top, young entrepreneurs who volunteer their time and their minds to create something extraordinary. In 2010, Nicole was the recipient of the Forty under 40 award recognizing top leaders under the age of 40 in the community.
