COVID-19 RESPONSE FOR STAR EMPLOYEES WORKING AT NOR-CAL BEVERAGE.
As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, and concern for the health of all Nor-Cal Beverage Co. Inc. employees and their families, Nor-Cal Beverage Co., and Star Staffing, continue to monitor the CDC and WHO guidelines, as well as community health recommendations and, are implementing the following strategies to assist in keeping you healthy and safe from COVID-19 exposure while at work.
Nor-Cal Beverage Co. has ordered face masks and face shields for use at work for the times you may need to bridge the suggested 6’ social distancing guidance, e.g., maintenance needs to assist a co-worker to unjam a machine, talking within the plant around noisy production equipment.
As you all are aware, personal protective equipment is in short supply, so please keep the items you are given in good condition, sanitize as necessary, and reuse your own items.
Nor-Cal Beverage will have a tented area outside of the main production and distribution centers. All employees are expected to enter through this area. Within and outside the tented area, there will be markings six feet apart. It is expected that you follow the six feet social distancing recommendation while in line to have your temperature taken.
A no-touch infrared thermometer will be used. All employees with a normal temperature within 97.0 – 9.0 range will be allowed to enter the building.
If an employee has a spiked temperature of 99.1 or higher, their temperature will be taken by a second device. If after this time it is determined your temperature is in excess of 99.0, you will be sent home and requested not to return until you are free of fever, without the use of fever-reducing medications, for at least 72 hours.
You will be paid for the time it takes for you to get through the temperature line. We are planning to have a remote time clock set up at each temperature taking location. Please clock in and then get into line.
