Star Staffing is Hosting HR Summit Focused on Company Culture

HR Summit October 21

Star Staffing opened its Sacramento office in 2017 but is already a Sacramento Business Journal three-time Best Place to Work Recipient.

The Sacramento Business Journal collects nominations from companies with operations in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties starting in June. Once nominated, employee surveys are administered and vetted by Quantum, the employee survey company, with only the top finalists in each category being awarded.

Star Staffing’s office, located at 800 Howe Avenue, is typically a hot spot for job seekers, attracting heavy foot traffic to its location. However, during the pandemic, the company has adapted to create a completely virtual hiring and onboarding experience, limiting unnecessary interactions.

These times are no doubt challenging, especially in the HR industry,” says Star Staffing’s President, Nicole Smartt Serres. “We continue to focus on moving forward and adapting to the needs of our employees and clients while doubling our efforts to promote a positive company culture where our team feels supported, appreciated, and motivated each day.”

With company culture at the forefront, Star Staffing is preparing for their HR Summit which features Sacramento local, Kelly Resendez. Kelly, the Executive Vice President of Talent Acquisition & Development for Loanpal, will be sharing her expertise on “Building a Culture for Results and Success.”

Star Staffing’s virtual half-day HR Summit will take place on October 21 with the attendee cost at just $45. Speakers, both local and from across the nation, will be sharing insights, critical tools, and best practices for inspiring innovation, high-performance, and engagement in an era of fierce competition, remote working, and constant exposure to challenges and injustices.
